冬天看似寒冷，却处处有着动人的温暖，让人觉得冬天不再是冰冷的世界。
雪地里的一棵老树清楚地记得那件发生在那年冬天的事，那是一个漫天飞雪的日子，有一个小女孩挎着个篮子蹦蹦跳跳地跑在父母前面，走到马路中间的时候还在蹦跳着，冬天里的故事。突然，一辆大卡车急驶过来，车上的司机见了小女孩连忙刹车。可是大卡车像一头凶猛的狮子一样冲过来，小女孩就像一只温顺的小兔子一样，站在马路中间不会动了，说时迟，那时快，就在大卡车要撞到小女孩的那一刹那，一个青年突然冲到小女孩身边，把小女孩推到了马路的另一边，而自己却被大卡车撞得飞了出去。在离大卡车5米远的地方那个青年掉了下来，血溅了一地。小女孩的父母急忙跑到小女孩和青年人身边，看看小女孩没事，又看了看血泊中的青年，他们急忙拨通了120。几分钟后一辆救护车来了，那个青年人被抬了上去。到了医院后，医生虽然尽力抢救了，可青年人再也没有醒过来……
那个小女孩的父母为了感谢那个青年，叫人雕了那个青年人的像，立在老树的旁边。后来，这座雕像在龙卷风来的时候，不知道被卷到哪里了，但青年人的模样却永远地留在了老树心中。

下过大雪后，整个镜泊湖都被雪覆盖了，非常寂静。四周万簌俱寂，偶尔天空中飞下来几只小鸟，在扑愣着翅膀，扇起几片雪花。人脚踩在雪地上，发出吱吱的响声，那声音仿佛传到了天边，又从天边传了回来，就像山里的回音。
这里的瀑布已经停止了喧闹，它不再像难以驯服的野马，而像娴静的少女。此时，它变成了冰挂，那冰挂是透明的，晶莹如玉，阳光照在上面，发出炫目的光彩，十分迷人。冰挂千奇百怪，有的像钟乳石，有的像虬龙，还有的像晶莹的水晶，就像人间仙境一般，使人产生朦朦胧胧的暇想。
