那里是闵园竹海。修竹丛生，遍布冈峦。走进竹海，必须会洗净城市的喧嚣，脱尽世俗的烦恼。来到闵园景区，那这棵凤凰古松，你不得不看。它已经有1400年历史了，松高7.8米。主干扁平翘首，如凤凰冠;两股支干一高一低状似凤凰尾。松尾下有一大圆石，人称“凤凰蛋”。国画大师李可染称誉此松为”天下第一松”。与黄山迎客松齐名。

九华山是中国佛教四大名山之一，著名地藏菩萨道常它的`开创人为新罗僧地藏。公元7世纪，在中国唐朝与朝鲜半岛频繁交往的大背景下，新罗国王子金乔觉航海东来，遍访名山，卓锡九华，苦修数十载，圆寂后被认为地藏菩萨”灵迹示现”，因其俗姓金，故称金地藏，从此九华山被辟为地藏菩萨道常唐时九华山有寺院20余座，宋代发展到40余座，至明代更有长足的发展，主刹化城寺成为拥有数十座寮房的总丛林，全山寺院达100余座，香火兴旺为“东南诸山之冠”。于是九华山便同五台、峨眉、普陀共称为中国佛教四大名山。
清代九华山寺院达150余座，由总丛林化城寺分衍出只园寺、东崖寺、百岁宫、甘露寺等四大丛林，在四大佛山中以”香火甲天下”而闻名于世。20世纪70年代末对外开放后，古老的佛山沐浴盛世朝阳，活力再现，旧貌重辉。现有各类寺院90余座，其中国家重点寺院9座，省级重点寺院30座;僧侣600余人，各类佛像万余尊，各种佛教文物__余件。寺院普遍得到维修，佛事活动正常开展，对外交往活动频繁，九华山佛教与日本、韩国、新加坡、马来西亚、美国、泰国以及香港、中国台湾地区等佛教团体友好交往不断，先后有百余名僧侣出境访问。
